PADI Jr Divemaster
The PADI Jr Divemaster Course with POOLE DIVING
The PADI Junior Divemaster course is a subset of the PADI Divemaster course.

This course is designed to engage and motivate interested youth divers into the next step, becoming a PADI dive pro.
Adapted from the full Divemaster course, it includes much of the same elements, just with some adaptions for youth divers aged 15-17.
This is an intense course for your youth diver and once completed they can assist PADI Professionals with many dive management duties and become great diving ambassadors and will include a lot of in and underwater water time.
Course Prerequisites
Certified PADI Advanced Open Water Diver and PADI Rescue Diver
Minimum age of 15
Logged 20 scuba dives
Course Content
- Complete the e-Learning for PADI Divemaster, this includes all 9 chapters knowledge reviews, then complete the 2 exams
- Prepare an emergency action plan and a mapping project
- Search and Recovery Scenario
- Waterskills development, this includes
- Swims
- Snorkel Swim
- Tired Diver Tow
- Tread Water
- 24 Skills Workshop
As well as this, the candidate will need to meet the professionalism criteria from the Divermaster course.
Certification Requirements
Once completed all of the above requirements the candidate will need
- Current EFR qualification (First Aid)
- Minimum of 40 logged dives, including experience of deep, navigation and night
- Also recommended to hold the PADI Emergency Oxygen Provider
Jr Divemaster Duties
Once qualified as a jr. Divemaster, you will be able to do
- dive site setup and management
- surface support
- Assist a PADI Instructor in 2 person skill demos
- Dive Site briefings (Supervised)
- Environmental and promotional presentations
You will not be able to work in a supervisory role until you’ve turned 18 and completed the full Divemaster course.
